We are looking for a German speaking Junior Credit Controller for an international fashion & lifestyle brand with their HQ in Amsterdam. The deadline to apply is approaching soon, so we do urge you to apply immediately. 

The Position

We are looking for a temporary Junior Credit Controller for our client, a global fashion brand based in Amsterdam. You will be supporting the German credit control team, and therefore speaking German at a professionally proficient level is a must. This is an assignment for at least 1 year.

As a Junior Credit Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring timely payment behavior of the customers. This will result in a balanced aging of the A/R ledger, a solid cash position, low DSO and minimal credit risk. 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the a/r ageing;
  • Contact smaller customers regarding overdue invoices;
  • Resolve payment differences/disputes;
  • Report to credit insurance company concerning overdue customers and legal proceedings;
  • Do regular credit reviews to maximize delivery performance whilst minimizing credit exposure;
  • Assist in maintaining customer master data;
  • Reconcile payments;
  • Inform and liaise with sales/customer service;
  • Maintain control files/reports.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Good internal and external communication skills;
  • Knowledge of various methods of payment;
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting;
  • PC literate with well developed spreadsheet and word processing skills (MS Excel and MS Word);
  • Good, confident and assertive yet patient telephone manner;
  • Attention to detail and the willingness to “discover” and “innovate”;
  • Good arithmetic skills;
  • Good organization and administrative skills;
  • Commercial orientation towards customer requirements.
