PAL-V is a Dutch scale-up, located in Raamsdonksveer (Breda area), which is developing the world's first commercial flying car. PAL-V's mission is to offer people the most flexible form of mobility and the highest sense of freedom imaginable while enjoying the ride. Functie

As a result of further growth of the engineering organisation, we are looking for a Design Engineer to join the team Powerplant. You have an important role in all stages of development of the world's first flying car. This job is ideal for someone who would like to take the next step in their career.

In this position you will be part of the Powerplant team. This team works among other things on the Engine and Gear Box of the PAL-V. Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Developing and detailing of concepts by means of hand calculations or modelling.

• Designing, developing and further developing of existing systems: such as the engine systems, Fly/Drive Gear Box, fuel and cooling systems.

• Proposing and generating design substation (analyses and/or complex test setups).

• Reporting of compliance demonstration in English in review teams and reports.

• Contact with suppliers if necessary. As a Design Engineer you report to, and support, the Project Team Lead of team Powerplant.

Functie-eisen

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive- or Aviation/Aerospace design or similar technical expertise;

• You are looking for a second or third step in your career;

• Experience with CAD, FMEA and strength calculations;

• Experience with relevant powerplant systems is preferred;

• Experience in compliance demonstration and/or certification is preferred;

• Strong written communication skills in Dutch and/or English;

• For this job it is mandatory to be resident in the Netherlands or Belgium. Applicants who live outside these two countries will not be considered in the application process.
